Kim Fields has joined the cast of What to Expect When You’re Expecting, Lionsgate’s ensemble feature based on the bestselling pregnancy-book series.

Cameron Diaz, Brooklyn Decker, Elizabeth Banks, Jennifer Lopez, Chris Rock and Anna Kendrick are among the film’s stars. Fields will play a social worker who helps out a couple with an adoption. This is the actress’s first studio feature.

Fields has directed dozens of episodes of the Tyler Perry-created series Meet the Browns and House of Payne. As an actress, she starred in the series The Facts of Life and Living Single.

Thomas Lennon and Amir Talai are set to round out the cast of Lionsgate’s motherhood comedy “What to Expect When You’re Expecting.”

Duo will play new dads who join Chris Rock’s “dude group” and are counseled in the ways of fatherhood along with Rob Huebel.

Kirk Jones is directing the Shauna Cross-scripted pic, which is skedded for release on May 11, 2012.

Lennon, who recently appeared in both “Cedar Rapids” and “Bad Teacher,” recently wrapped Lionsgate’s “Rapturepalooza” and will soon be seen in “What’s Your Number?” and “A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas.” Thesp is also writing and producing “The Machine” for MGM and Vin Diesel’s One Race Films, as well as the indie comedy “The Boondoggle.”

Additionally, he and fellow “Night at the Museum” scribe Robert Ben Garant just released a book titled “Writing Movies For Fun and Profit.”

Talai previously appeared in “Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay” and “The Pursuit of Happyness.”

Lennon is repped by CAA and The Kohner Agency reps Talai, while both are managed by Principato-Young Entertainment.

Genesis Rodriguez has rounded out the cast of Lionsgate’s “What to Expect When You’re Expecting.”

The ensemble already stars Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Anna Kendrick, Chris Rock, Matthew Morrison, Chace Crawford and Brooklyn Decker. Lionsgate had no comment on the casting.

Kirk Jones will helm the pic that is based on the Heidi Murkoff tome and follows four couples as they prepare for parenthood. Rodriguez will play Kendrick’s roommate.

Heather Hach wrote the first draft and Shauna Cross wrote the latest draft with Mike Medavoy, Arnie Messer and David Thwaites producing the pic.

Rodriguez most recently wrapped production on the comedy “Casa De Mi Padre” opposite Will Ferrell and Diego Luna and can be seen next in Summit’s “Man on a Ledge” starring Sam Worthington and Elizabeth Banks.

She is repped by ICM.

Mimi Gianopulos has booked a supporting role in Lionsgate’s motherhood comedy “What to Expect When You’re Expecting,” which will mark her studio pic debut.

Gianopulos will play Molly, Anna Kendrick’s funny roommate who comforts and supports her.

Thesp joins a starry ensemble that includes Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Elizabeth Banks, Chris Rock, Dennis Quaid, Matthew Morrison, Chace Crawford, Joe Manganiello, Rodrigo Santoro, Rob Huebel, Brooklyn Decker and Wendi McLendon-Covey.

Kirk Jones is directing from a script by Shauna Cross, based on the book by Heidi Murkoff and Sharon Mazel.

Production is skedded to begin later this summer, and Lionsgate will release the film on May 11, just in time for Mother’s Day.

Gianopulos, who just signed with ICM after graduating from Carnegie Mellon, is the daughter of 20th Century Fox chairman and CEO Jim Gianopulos.

Dennis Quaid is rounding out the cast of Lionsgate’s “What to Expect When You’re Expecting,” the studio announced Monday.

He’ll play Ramsey, whose much younger wife, Skyler (played by Brooklyn Decker) is giving birth to twins.

According to Lionsgate, “impending fatherhood is just another way for the hilariously competitive Ramsey to try to one-up his adult son Colin, who is also expecting his first child.”

The ensemble comedy also stars Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Elizabeth Banks, Anna Kendrick, Matthew Morrison, Chace Crawford and Rob Huebel.

“What to Expect When You’re Expecting” takes its title from Heidi Murkoff’s best-selling pregnancy manual. Heather Hach and Shauna Cross adapted it as a screenplay.

Mike Medavoy, Arnie Messer and David Thwaites are producing the film, which Lionsgate plans to release for Mothers Day weekend 2012.

Quaid will also play the Rev. Shaw Moore in Paramount’s upcoming remake of “Footloose.”

The upcoming big screen pregnancy movie keeps growing, with a cast that is getting bigger and a plot that is getting wackier.

Continuing the good fortune for the cast members of “Bridesmaids,” Wendi McLendon-Covey who played the married and harried Rita in the film (and who comedy buffs already knew from “Reno 911!”) has joined “What to Expect When You’re Expecting.” Her acting skills will be put to the test as she will play J.Lo‘s co-worker and best bud. And oh yeah, while he’s already been knocking around casting announcements for a while now, we guess his PR people made it officially official as Matthew Morrison from “Glee” is in the film too. He will play Evan, a guy who pairs up with Cameron Diaz for a reality dance show only for them to knock boots and make a baby. Isn’t it enough that this movie has a plot involving people with competing food trucks?

Anyway, she joins an already engorged cast that includes Brooklyn Decker, Anna Kendrick, Chris Rock, Matthew Morrison, Rodrigo Santoro, Elizabeth Banks, Chace Crawford and Rob Huebel. Kirk Jones (”Nanny McPhee,” “Waking Ned Devine”) is directing and the film lands on May 11, 2012.

Matthew Morrison has signed on (along with seemingly everybody else in town) for Lionsgate’s What to Expect When You’re Expecting, the adaptation of the bestselling pregnancy guidebook. The Glee star will play Evan, who teams with Cameron Diaz’s character on a celebrity dance show and eventually teams on a pregnancy, forcing them to re-evaluate what’s important in life. Chace Crawford and Rob Heubel also have recently joined the cast, which includes Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Brooklyn Decker, Elizabeth Banks, Anna Kendrick and Chris Rock. Shooting begins this summer on the ensemble romantic comedy ahead of a May 11, 2012 release. Kirk Jones is directing. Morrison, now on tour to promote his self-titled album while on a break from Fox’s Glee, is repped by CAA and manager Eric Podwall.

EW has confirmed exclusively that True Blood‘s Joe Manganiello has joined the growing ensemble cast as Davis, a ladies man whose jet-setting lifestyle as a photographer of international surfing competitions is the envy of a father support group that includes Chris Rock and Rob Huebel (Children’s Hospital).

Based on the best-selling pregnancy guidebook by Heidi Murkoff, the cast also includes Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Elizabeth Banks, Brooklyn Decker, Anna Kendrick, Chace Crawford and Rebel Wilson (Bridesmaids). Director Kirk Jones (Nanny McPhee) is set to begin shooting this month, with a release planned for May 11, 2012.

Hours after Lionsgate announced that Elizabeth Banks would play the baby-crazed owner of ‘The Breast Choice’ store in What To Expect What You’re Expecting, EW has learned exclusively that she has hired her first employee. Rebel Wilson, Kristin Wiig’s scene-stealing British roommate from Bridesmaids, will join the ensemble comedy as Janice, an employee at the pregnant Banks’ store.

Wilson, who is actually Australian, has a strong background in television and stand-up down under. She is slated to appear in McG’s This Means War alongside Chris Pine and Reese Witherspoon early in 2012, and will follow up with a role in the indie flick Small Apartments.
