With strong comedic chops, Karen McCullah’s unique voice fills her work with humor and authenticity. Reaching all audiences, her writing talent ranges from the teenage charm of 10 Things I Hate About You to the edgy R-rated hilarity of The Ugly Truth. She and her writing partner Kirsten “Kiwi” Smith have crafted iconic and humorous characters such as the charming and fashion-obsessed, Elle, in Legally Blonde and the ostensibly naive, but adorably sweet, Shelly, in The House Bunny. Karen and Kiwi are one of the biggest comedy brands in the film business. Karen is also the author of the novel, The Bachelorette Party, which she adapted as a screenplay. She recently wrote and produced her first independent movie, Crazy Kind of Love (retitled from Long Time Gone), currently streaming on Netflix.
