She and her writing partner Kirsten “Kiwi” Smith have crafted iconic and humorous characters such as the charming and fashion-obsessed, Elle, in Legally Blonde and the ostensibly naive, but adorably sweet, Shelly, in The House Bunny. Karen and Kiwi are responsible for many other popular comedies over the last decade like She’s the Man . Karen is also the author of the novel, The Bachelorette Party, which she adapted as a screenplay. She is currently at work producing her most recent script, Long Time Gone, currently in production.
